Extended Unemployment Benefits

On June 30, President Bush signed into law a bill that includes a federal extension for unemployment benefits. This legislation provides additional benefits for people who established a regular unemployment compensation claim on or after May 2, 2006 and have exhausted their regular benefits or whose claims have expired.

Florida will begin to accept applications for extended benefits on Monday, July 7 by Internet at www.fluidnow.com or by telephone at 1-800-204-2418 and by mail.
