WorkSource, announces the relocation of its south side Jacksonville Center to 6800 Southpoint Parkway, Suite 950, Jacksonville, FL 32216. The phone number remains the same: (904) 997-3100.
The Center will continue to provide services to job seekers, including job leads, information on filing unemployment claims, access to labor market and salary information, assessments and a computer resource room for updating resumes and conducting internet research. The Center opens for business the week of April 2, 2006.
With this new center, WorkSource creates a more central presence in South Duval County, right on the J. Turner Butler and I-95 corridor, greatly enhancing its capacity to serve the local business community. The new center reduces office space by 60%, a move prompted by reduced funding and the dynamic changes in the workforce since the Beach Boulevard center was established in 1998. “More of our customers are accessing services electronically,” says Bruce Ferguson, WorkSource CEO. “With record low unemployment in the region and advances in technology, we have fewer walk-ins. We’re changing our footprint to match our customer base.”
