Jerry Agresti, a Clay County developer, was appointed to the board of directors of Workforce Florida, Inc. by Governor Jeb Bush. The appointment, effective May 29, 2003, is for a one year term. Chaired by Ray Gilley, president of the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission, the 45-member state board sets policy and provides oversight to 24 regional workforce boards in designing and implementing programs to develop a skilled workforce.
Agresti is the President of Developers Realty Group, Inc., a company dealing primarily in real estate development and property management. He is a state certified building contractor and a licensed real estate broker. He holds a degree in Construction Technology from the University of North Florida and is a graduate of Wentworth Institute, Boston, Massachusetts where he majored in mechanical design.
Presently, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Clay County Utility Authority, Clay Builders Council, Orange Park Medical Center, and the Clay County Transportation Advisory Committee. Agresti has served on the board of directors of WorkSource, the local workforce development organization, since 1996. He served as Chairman of the Board from 1999 – 2001.
