Excuse our Growing Pains
The WDB has rented the vacant office location adjacent to the DeLand One-Stop Career Center on Woodland Boulevard and has initiated construction activities to expand the current location to include additional offices, an extensive computer lab and a large training room to serve the growing service needs of the Center. The DeLand location has experienced a significant increase in traffic over the past two years due to the growing population on the west side of Volusia County. Business is booming and space has been limited for both staff and customers. “This was a step we needed to take in order to better serve our job seekers. The current facility was becoming inadequate for the task and the availability of the adjacent space could not have come at a better time for us,” stated Rick Fraser, President of the WDB. “We ask for the public’s patience during construction.” The additional space will be ready for use by the end of the calendar year.
