Sharon Warriner, Project and Communications Specialist for the Workforce Development Board of Flagler and Volusia Counties, Inc. (WDB) has accepted a full-time role as Communications Manager for the organization.  Ms. Warriner’s new role began July 1st.

The move came in response to the Board’s growing need to promote an expansion of partnerships and outreach activities with the local business community.

“We could no longer ignore the fact that the nature of our activities has become increasingly more news-worthy and demanding. The outreach and coordination required to meet our upcoming needs demands a full-time marketing effort. Sharon has provided marketing support for the organization in addition to coordinating program and committee liaison responsibilities for the past three years. She has proven her skills in this arena. The timing is finally right to support the change in our organizational structure,” stated Rick Fraser, President of the WDB.

Additional WDB organizational changes that went into effect July 1st include:

Remie Beaulieu, System Administrator, has been promoted to Senior Network & Communications Engineer for the WDB. Mr. Beaulieu has worked for the WDB in various capacities since 1997. He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. His primary responsibilities involve maintaining and enhancing the computer network infrastructure, network servers and communications facilities that support the WDB and One-Stop Centers. He will also be researching and testing new technologies for possible deployment within the company.

Ulanda Gainous has recently been promoted from Program Technical Assistance Manager to Planning, Resource and Projects Analyst.  Ms. Gainous has been with the WDB since February 2000. She has worked as staff liaison to the One-Stop Career Center and has overseen program training and quality assurance for the organization.  Her new responsibilities will include grant writing, resource development, contract management and staff liaison to both the Better Jobs/Better Wages and First Job/First Wages Committees.

Winnie Costello has been named Customer Service Representative in the Business Services Unit of the One Stop Career System.  Ms. Costello has worked in the workforce development system for several years in both Flagler and Volusia Counties. She will be responsible for telephone follow up activity to the business community regarding job placements, job orders, and hiring trends.
