WDB Receives Two Grant Awards

WDB has been awarded $225,000 from Workforce Florida, Inc. (WFI) to continue the Career Advancement and Retention Challenge project (CARC).  This will be the fourth year that Region 11 has received these funds.   This grant is intended to serve employed individuals who are current Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) Program participants, transitional participants, or redirected working needy poor and non-custodial parents.  This initiative is funded with state-level TANF funds.

Additionally, WFI has also awarded $82,888 in second year funding to WDB  to continue the Skills Training for Youth and First Time Job Entrants grant project to provide training opportunities to assist Workforce Investment Act eligible youth, ages 18-21, and adult first time job entrants to gain employment in the health service and business service industries.
