VIPs Visit One-Stop
On May 26th, Representative Joyce Cusack, staff from Representative Suzanne Kosmas and Anna Cowin’s offices, and County Council members Frank Bruno, Jack Hayman and Joie Alexander joined chamber and city representatives for a breakfast reception at the Daytona One-Stop Career Center to celebrate National One-Stop Day.
“It’s always an honor to share the success of our efforts with our local community and government leaders. We’ve had several recent opportunities to share our story with our local leadership,” stated Rick Fraser.
During the month of July, both Representative Pat Patterson and Volusia County Schools Superintendent Margaret Smith joined Rick Fraser, President of the WDB for personal tours of the One-Stop Career Center.
“Our One-Stop Career System has served over 60,000 job seekers since July 2000 and its business relationships have grown by over 400%. We now have three One-Stop Career Centers, three additional access points and seven electronic kiosks located throughout the two-county area. I’m proud to represent our One-Stop Career System as a local success story,” continued Fraser.
