Area Unemployment Rate Continues to Drop
It’s become a job-seeker’s market. The Volusia/Flagler area now reflects a rate of 3.2, down from a rate of 4.5 just a year ago. Everyone who wants to work is working and the available pool of skilled workers is shrinking with every fractional decrease in the unemployment rate.

Annual Meeting Update
The WDB Center for Business Excellence Board of Directors recently held their Annual Meeting in the new Board facility on November 1st. The Board met to review the 2004-2005 Annual Report and a new web-based interview tool for business clients. The meeting marked the first held at the new location on Bill France Boulevard since the grand opening event in September.
