Kaplan University Seeking to Hire 40 at WCF on January 9

WORKFORCE CENTRAL FLORIDA (WCF) will host an in-house recruitment event for Kaplan University on Friday, January 9 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the WCF Orange County Office (5166 East Colonial Dr., Orlando).  Kaplan University will be seeking individuals to fill approximately 40 admissions advisor positions at this time.  Additional admission advisors will also be needed in the near future.

 

Kaplan University is seeking individuals that have either a minimum of two years of college with a minimum two years sales experience or, in place of college, a minimum of five years sales experience.  Experience with high volume outbound calls, Microsoft Office programs, and oral and written communication skills are required.  Individuals must have the ability to work some night and weekend shifts and to pass a criminal history check. 

 

Admissions advisors will be responsible for:
  • Contacting and enrolling students in degree and certificate programs; 
  • Completing all goals and deadlines; 
  • Communicating with supervisor regarding student enrollment status and troubleshooting for any problems with leads; 
  • Providing reports relating to individual recruitment effectiveness; 
  • Attending and participating in all admissions meetings and training sessions for which attendance is required; 
  • Facilitating interdepartmental communications between Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Services and Academics for the purpose of enhancing the Admissions Process;
  • Acting as liaison for the student from time of enrollment through the first week of classes. These responsibilities include: enrolling the student, collecting all essential documents, setting a registration appointment and continual contact with the student until the end of drop/add week, as well as assisting the team financial aid officer in the collection documents that may be required for verification;  and,
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary is $14.42 per hour, $30K during the training period.  There is a review within 90 days, and salary is adjusted accordingly based on the number of enrollments that the employee makes. Benefits are effective the first day of employment.
