WORKFORCE CENTRAL FLORIDA (WCF) will be releasing a “Request for Proposal” (RFP) to solicit proposals for the purpose of implementing, administrating, and delivering services to central Florida youth. The youth to be served under this initiative are those youth between the ages of 16 and 21 years who are not in school, in the military, or employed. Program design must prepare the youth for the workplace; place the youth with full-time employment; assist the youth in acquiring occupational skills; etc. The RFP is scheduled to be released in July 2002 and program activities are expected to commence no later than October 1, 2002. The total amount of funds available for this initiative is approximately $300,000.
