Fund Fest Job Fair Targets Youth

WORKFORCE CENTRAL FLORIDA’S ONE-STOP CAREER CENTERS will be hosting “Fund Fest,” a job fair for entry-level career professionals ages 16 – 25. The event will be held at the West Oaks Mall on Monday, June 24 and the Lake Square Mall on Tuesday, June 25 from 12 – 6 p.m.

Over 80 employers from the hospitality, government and other professional industries will be exhibiting booths throughout each mall. There will be career opportunities with companies such as Universal Studios, Walt Disney World Resorts, The Home Depot, The Peabody Hotel, Orlando Weekly, Orange County Public Schools, AAA Auto Club South and A+ Healthcare. OSCC will also host a training session to develop winning interview skills. Image Consultant/Career Coach Lisa Maile, of Lisa Maile Image, Modeling & Acting will discuss “Your Strongest First Impression: Power Interviewing & Dressing for Success” at 2 p.m. A fashion show featuring appropriate business wear will follow the training session.

ONE-STOP CAREER CENTERS are a program of WORKFORCE CENTRAL FLORIDA. The ONE-STOP CAREER CENTERS provide training and employment services to residents of Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Sumter Counties – free of charge! Individuals who visit the centers are offered assistance with job leads, placement services, resume writing skills, career planning and counseling, interviewing seminars, scholarships for school/training, and unemployment claims.
