263% Increase In Corporate Challenge Deals
Done Deals Popularity Shines
What do you call a program that exceeds expectations, gets people involved and makes people laugh? The Done Deals™ Corporate Challenge! This year’s challenge, issued by the Done Deals™ Committee at the Round-Up Luncheon last spring, culminated at the July TOP TEN meeting. Any corporate member who had submitted five done deals or more was recognized for their support of the program.
With a whopping total of 276 deals submitted (that’s 200 more than last year) in the three-month eligibility period, the following companies met the Challenge: American Airlines, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, EDS, Fluor, Frito-Lay, JCPenney, Lockheed Martin, Merrill Lynch, Sabre Holdings, Texas Instruments, TXU, Valor Telecom and Verizon. A two-time winner of the Corporate Challenge and the pizza party raffle prize, EDS donated the party this year to the Juliet Fowler Home.
Since the Challenge’s inception in 2001, the number of winners each year has increased from five to eight to 13 this year! And what’s more, the audience at the TOP TEN meeting held the responsibility of guessing the winners by solving a variety of puzzles and playing games. Not a bad way to spend an evening – playing games, networking and congratulating the Council’s top corporate supporters of the Done Deals™ program.
