Whether your supplier diversity program is seasoned or brand new, leave the past behind and travel into the future with a new informative and interactive workshop held at the Women’s Business Round-Up on April 16, 2002 at 3:30 p.m. at the Arlington Convention Center.
A national panel of experts will present and debate “Next Practices” for WBEs - strategies and tactics that will revitalize and “futurize” your Supplier Diversity program. Panelists will address program challenges for the future, including strategic sourcing, mergers and acquisitions. Learn ways to articulate the business case for WBE inclusion – the critical rationale needed to crack the barrier of indifference for WBE programs that may exist in your own corporate backyard.
This workshop will be held in conjunction with two other workshops geared to WBEs – “How to Hire a Sales Superstar” and “Marketing Your Business Without Spending a Fortune”. All workshops are sponsored by Frito-Lay, Inc. Please join us for these unique workshops and plan to stay for the reception that follows. The reception, sponsored by Lockheed Martin, will be held at the convention center from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and will feature last year’s hit jazz band, Fingerprints.
The breakfast, sponsored by Business Interiors, the trade fair and luncheon will be held the next day, April 17th, 2002. Don’t miss Caroline Atkinson, Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, the featured keynote speaker at the luncheon sponsored by IBM and TXU. Atkinson, named “One of Wall Street’s 25 Smartest Players” by Worth Magazine will speak on the current state of the economy and how WBEs can thrive.
