Bigger and Better in Arkansas
The Council reached out to its Southwest roots by hosting “The Direction of Success” with the
Little Rock Chamber of Commerce on February 27, 2002. The event, sponsored by Reliant
Energy Arkla, TXU and Wal-Mart gave members and non-members in the state of Arkansas the
opportunity to learn more about the Council and to meet those corporations committed to
Supplier Diversity in their area.
As a result of this meeting, Intergy will be joining the Council as a new Sustaining Member from
Arkansas! Congratulations to Intergy on their commitment to supplier diversity and we look
forward to increasing their participation through membership.
This first-ever regional event served to increase the Council’s influence and recognition in
Arkansas and more events are in the works to be held in New Mexico and Oklahoma.
Stay tuned to the Council’s website for details on future regional meetings.
