The mission of the Governor's Advisory Council on Volunteerism and Community Service is to recognize, encourage and expand volunteerism by serving as an advocate and catalyst for the New Jersey volunteer community and by providing support to fulfill the mission of the Governor's Office of Volunteerism. Commission on National and Community Service
The mission of the New Jersey Commission on National and Community Service is to guide and support New Jersey’s AmeriCorps and Learn and Serve America programs, promote an ethic of service for citizens of all ages and backgrounds, and strengthen communities through service in the areas of education, human needs, environmental protection, disaster response, and homeland security. New Jersey Volunteer Centers assist volunteers and nonprofit organizations find one another. If you are a volunteer in need of assistance to find the perfect volunteer opportunity, you can also contact a volunteer agency that serves your county. If you are a nonprofit agency that wishes to post volunteer opportunities, please contact your local volunteer agency. In the event that a volunteer agency does not cover your county, please contact us.  FInd your local Volunteer Center by clicking on that large icon on the left side of the screen.
