Spring has come and gone and along with it another “Tax Season” for those of us in public practice and related occupations. In March, we had a very nice break from taxes with our Annual Charity Dinner which raised funds for two charitable causes - The American Cancer Society Relay for Life and the Financial Literacy Book Club. See the chairpersons’ review of these events in this newsletter. Thanks to all that participated and to Brenda Roth and Tina Wleczyk for their work in organizing these events.
Traditionally, May 31 would mark a change in officers for the Victoria Chapter of TSCPA. However, this year the officers will remain basically the same except for the position of treasurer.
The 2011/2012 officers, who were elected in December, 2010 are:

Our next meeting will be May 17, 2011 at the Victoria Country Club. We will be presenting the Accounting Excellence Award at this meeting- so we hope to have a good turnout. Please make your plans to attend. More information and R.S.V.P. details are in this newsletter.
I attended the TSCPA Executive Board meeting this past weekend and have attached a copy of a letter written to Speaker John Boehner from the TSCPA. I know that many of you will be closely watching this issue.
