The holidays are well behind us and tax season is upon us, at least for many. The Chapter’s fiscal year ends May 31st, so please read this newsletter carefully and make note of the details for the planned events for the remainder of the year.

The next event is the Victoria Chapter TSCPA Charity Dinner, formerly the Spouse Appreciation Dinner, which will be held on Tuesday, March 23. This year it will be held at the Victoria Country Club. Again, your guest is FREE! Yes, FREE! for your guest and a nominal charge for members which includes a donation to the Food Bank and Relay For Life Cancer Fund. Also, bring several food items for the Food Bank. So, take a well deserved break and join us. This has been our largest attended event of the year.

For the first time the Chapter is going all out and participating in the Relay For Life this year to be held on April 30th. Please donate and come walk with us. Brenda Roth is our Relay For Life team captain.

We will end our year with a real bonanza event on May 18th. A FREE breakfast for members and our special guests will be held at the Victoria College Student Center at 7:30 a.m.  The Victoria Chapter TSCPA Recognition Breakfast will recognize scholarship recipients, outstanding accounting student, longest serving Chapter members, local organizations, and others who have made contributions to the success of the Chapter. Also, the annual planning meeting for officers and directors will be held immediately after the breakfast.

Remember, you can always check the Chapter web site for details on the above upcoming events and more, such as CPE to be offered this summer and fall.

Hope to see all of you at the Dinner on March 23rd.
