Dr. Ben-Dak Named Chairman of VITAL Summit Selection Committee
Pre-selection process continues in Israel from Aug. 13-20
Co-Director’s of the VITAL, Joe Meredith Ph.D. and Ralph Robbins, announced today that Professor Yossi Ben Dak Ph. D, will be the Chairman of the Selection Committee. The committee is responsible for review and decide which Israeli companies will be invited to the Summit on October 17 to make presentations to a group of Venture Capital Firms and other institutions as part of the VITAL program for expansion into the US market. According to Ben-Dak, “our preselection process will assure a quality, meaningful and productive Summit for the VC’s that will participate.” According to Mr. Robbins, “Professor Yossi Ben Dak possesses a unique combination of experience that will assist the selection committee in identifying the best possible candidates with the best chance of succeeding in the Virginia program.” Ben Dak is the Chief Scientist and the Executive Vice President of Xybernaut, the world leader in wearable computers where he oversees many of the company’s more than 750 patents and licensing agreements, and it’s international strategic alliances. He has also been the principal advisor, Science and Technology, United Nations Development Program. In the 1990’s, he was a consultant for Russia and China conversion projects. He was an AAAS Fellow, a Professor in various international universities and an inventor of numerous instruments in project evaluation and IP valuation.
