Product Liability Seminar
O’Hagan, Smith & Amundsen’s Product Liability Practice Group is hosting a seminar entitled “Reducing Your Exposure: Emerging Product Liability Issues." This event will take place on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at Meridian Banquets in Rolling Meadows, IL (a Chicago suburb). OSA Partners Michael McGowan and Steven Fuoco will present, along with Chuck Walsh, co-owner of the Chicago Bulls and White Sox. Employment Law Roundtable
On April 7th and 8th, OSA attorneys Larry Smith and Jill Pignotti presented a legal roundtable session hosted by Navigant Consulting. The title of this seminar was “Setting the Right Course Through the Employment Law Minefield.” The audience consisted of Fortune 500 business leaders, medium and small business owners, and insurance professionals concerned with employment related legal issues. Larry and Jill’s presentation focused on strategies for cost containment, procedures for establishing a company philosophy with regards to claims, ideas for implementing a workable protocol, and tips for defending the company’s philosophy and protocol if a claim is filed.

Habitat for Humanity
Carr Allison is pleased to announce that it has finalized plans to build a home for Habitat for Humanity in Birmingham, Alabama. The firm is to begin building the home on June 1, 2004.
Construction is expected to be completed on June 12, 2004. The firm is planning to provide all of the labor for the project which will coincide with its semi annual firm retreat, allowing lawyers from each of its six offices to take part in the construction.
