Poll Finds World Economic Climate Has Stabilized at High Level

The global economic climate remains favorable and will continue to develop positively during the rest of the year, despite a slight weakening of business expectations, according to the results of the latest ICC/Ifo World Economic Survey, which were released in August.

At Global AIDS Conference, Employers Pledge Joint Efforts

The International Organisation of Employers participated in the UN’s Fifteenth International AIDS Conference, which was held in Bangkok in mid-July. IOE Secretary General Antonio Peñalosa spoke at a session on the importance of leadership in the fight against HIV/AIDS, aimed at bringing global attention to the role and contribution of leaders from all sectors.

UCC Revision Drives Use of Incoterms for Domestic Commerce

With little fanfare, antiquated shipping and delivery terms are being removed from the Uniform Commercial Code governing domestic commerce within the U.S. But fear not, shippers – the International Chamber of Commerce’s longstanding Incoterms provide a logical and vastly simplified successor.
