MEMBER AND STAFF NEWS

We are pleased to welcome the following new members of USCIB: Greenberg Traurig LLP, a Miami-based law firm offering commercial legal services; Darby & Darby, P.C., a full-service intellectual property law firm with offices in New York and Seattle; and Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, a premier legal advisor covering a broad spectrum of corporate and litigation services, headquartered in Palo Alto, California.

A warm welcome to Emily O’Connor, who has joined our policy and program staff as Director of Intellectual Property and Competition Law. Before joining USCIB, she served as an associate in the corporate department at Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP, and an attorney-adviser at the U.S. Department of State. Ms. O'Connor holds a bachelor’s degree from Sarah Lawrence College and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.

We are happy to announce that David Fares has been promoted to Vice President of E-Commerce and Telecommunications, and Heather Shaw has been promoted to Director of Banking, E-Commerce, Marketing and Advertising.

Sadly (for us), Kris Knutsen has left USCIB to take a position with Deloitte and Touche, where he will be working directly with USCIB China Subcommittee Chair Clarence Kwan in the company's Chinese Services Group.  We wish Kris the very best, and we are happy to announce that Andrea Fava has taken on responsibility for USCIB's Taxation Committee.  We are currently interviewing candidates to staff our European Union and Economies in Transition Committees.
