UCDC Initiates Business Connection Events

The Business Services Committee of UCDC, chaired by Patricia Brooks, President of Brooks & Brooks Land Surveyors of  Highland, has initiated a series of Business Connection Events. The purpose of these events is to provide local business and community leaders with an update on development activities throughout Ulster County and to share information on technical and financial resources available to aid business start-ups and expansions. Most importantly, entrepreneurs and concerned citizens have a forum to discuss community issues, development opportunities, and strategies of managing growth.

The next event is scheduled for Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at 8:30 AM and will be held at Woodstock Harley-Davidson on Route 28 in the Town of Kingston. This promises to be another wonderful opportunity for those from the Route 28 business corridor and the communities of Kingston, Hurley, Olive, Shandaken and Woodstock to network and learn more about the future of Ulster County. And our host, Woodstock Harley-Davidson President Janice Dordick, has arranged a special tour of the facility for everyone who attends.

A special thanks to our previous hosts, Steve and Shelly Turk of the Rocking Horse Ranch, Thomas Struzzieri of Horse Shows in the Sun, and Joel Hoffman, Mitchell Wolff, and Susan Nibe of the Nevele Grande Resort and Country Club. Each event was wonderfully arranged, attendance was strong and discussion lively. And all enjoyed the opportunities to tour the facilities and meet the owners and staff.
