Metro Says Los Angeles County To Benefit Big Time From Passage of Prop 1A & Prop 1B

Metro contends that more than $5 billion could be allocated to Los Angeles County with $1.9 billion to be shared by the County, the 88 cities within the County, Metro and other transit operators through existing funding formulas.

Gov. Schwarzenegger and LA Mayor Villagosa  held a news conference earlier this year at Union Station in Downtown LA to push for infrastructure improvement bonds.

Propositions 1A & 1B are part of a comprehensive, long-term plan to begin addressing California’s long-neglected infrastructure needs. Passing Props. 1A & 1B will fund projects in every community to make traffic safety improvements, relieve congestion, and improve rundown local streets and roads.
