Successful Landings

Even in the most challenging job market, motivated candidates who think outside the box, tap the resources Ayers offers, and network, network, network can achieve their goals, as these did.

  • After nearly a year’s search, an executive out of an Asian financial institution landed as a credit-risk management executive at an international bank. An Ayers consultant who had worked with the candidate in a Peak Performance Team notified her Ayers outplacement counselor about the position, which was at a client firm. The referring consultant recognized a good fit and a way to help both candidate and client.
  • A financial services professional who saw an Internet posting for a position closely matching her credentials asked her Ayers networking group whether anyone had connections to her target company.  Someone did and was able to hand-deliver her resumé to the hiring manager.  She was subsequently interviewed and landed her “perfect job."
  • Eliminated as a result of declining business, a Supervision/Technical Account Manager responsible for managing an internal help desk found no success through traditional channels.  Knowing that the newly created Department of Homeland Security was expanding, he used the Internet to research government contractors working with DHS and successfully won a position as Manager of Service Delivery at one of them.
  • A Senior Vice President from the retail side of a major bank worked with his Ayers consultant to develop a resumé focused on transferable skills in customer service, relationship and product management, and retail sales. Moving outside of his industry sector, he landed a position as CEO of a $4 billion airline-employee credit union.

Names of these candidates are not disclosed in the Ayers Report to respect their privacy.  If you are interested in getting in touch with any of them regarding their job-search experiences, please contact Doug O'Connor.
