Social Media in the Workplace
One of the hot properties in the social networking space is Facebook, that “all about me” site that helps people keep up with the lives of their friends and “friends.” Younger people in particular seem to believe that accessing Facebook is a right, which is why marketers are so interested in it. Some workers actually complain when access is blocked. But since it has yet to show any real business value, blocking it may be the right thing to do according to ITBusinessEdge’s Ann All.
