Training for Technical Writers

How important is it to your company to provide yearly training (formal classes, seminars, etc.) for its technical writers?

Extremely important. Each year, a budget is set aside for training.

Important, but there's usually little to no money in the budget.

Moderately important. The company pays part of the expenses.

We have to get training on our own at our own expense.

Our company does not believe its technical writers need ongoing training.
