The Austin Chamber of Commerce and the Central Texas Regional Center of Innovation and Commercialization (CenTex RCIC) have announced that the State of Texas has selected Texas State University as well as five new recipients of commercialization awards funded through the Texas Emerging Technology Fund (ETF). CenTex RCIC Application Workshop and ETF Deadline
The CenTex RCIC will be hosting an ETF Applicant Workshop on Wednesday, December 17 from 3-5 p.m. in the Chamber Boardroom. Austin has Largest Number of Companies on Deloitte's Fast 50 List
Austin had the largest number of companies on Deloitte's new Texas Technology Fast 50 list of the fastest-growing tech companies this year. The list ranks companies based on five-year revenue growth. Austin Chamber of Commerce member companies that made the list include (in order of ranking): Zebra Imaging, Convio, NetQoS, Perficient, Medical Present Value and QuantumDigital. TechBA Company Co-Founder Shares Award for Proposal at SHPE Conference 2008
Francisco Ruiz with MarCom Logix was part of a team that won the $10,000 grand prize for their business proposal at the Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) event in Phoenix AZ.
The Request for Proposal (RFP), titled: "Social Connections for the Enterprise", was sponsored by Microsoft. The goal of this project was to identify a solution (process and tool) that enhances social interaction and connects people across organizations within the corporation using Microsoft technologies.
