A critical issue for business and property owners within the Stemmons Corridor is flood control and the maintenance of the Trinity River levees.

Assistant City Manager Jill Jordan and
SCBA Chairman of the Board David A. Neumann
Thursday, April 27, 2006, Jill Jordan, Assistant City Manager and David Dybala, Director of Public Works, both for the City of Dallas, met with the SCBA Board of Directors to give them a briefing on the stability of the Trinity River levees and flood control strategies and their impact on the Stemmons Corridor. This meeting provided an opportunity for key business and property owners to get one-on-one questions answered with our City leaders on Flood control and how it will affect their business.
Jill Jordan and David Dybala explained in detail the current readiness status. Improvements that are necessary to bring the City of Dallas systems up to standards will cost around $164,000,000, this funding will most likely be on the Novermber 2006 bond program.
