North Central Texas Council of Governments Meeting Called
Your Encouraged to Attend the upcoming NCTCOG Meeting
by Brooke Dieterlen

SCBA Members are encouraged to attend the North Central Texas Council of Governments' public meeting to obtain feedback regarding the applications submitted on the call for sustainable development projects. SCBA member, FirstWorthing's project, Cityville at Southwestern Medical District was submitted for consideration. The call selects projects that are infill, mixed use, and transit oriented for funding for public improvements such as sidewalks, public landscaping, lighting, and items of that nature. Given the location of the First Worthing project, Stemmons Corridor/Southwestern Medical District, we feel it is imperative that members attend this meeting to share your thoughts on the Cityville project at Southwestern Medical District. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 25th, at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall (L1F North Conference Center Auditorium). For more information in regard to the upcoming meeting please contact Brooke Dieterlen at 214-800-8771.

BAIT CAR SIGNS NOW AVAILABLE
SCBA Offers Businesses a Method to Fight Burglary to Motor Vehicles
by Brooke Dieterlen

The Stemmons Corridor Business Association and the Dallas Police Department have teamed up together and are making available to all companies, hotels and apartment complexes, signs to post in the effort to reduce burglary to motor vehicles and auto thefts in the corridor. The signs indicate that a bait car may be in use in the area and if you steal a bait car you will go to jail. The thieves will never know if the car they are breaking into is a bait car or not. These signs will keep the criminals guessing, which is what we have to do to win the battle against burglary to motor vehicles and auto thefts. The signs can be purchased from the Stemmons Corridor Business Association.  The following sizes and prices apply:

8x10 vinyl window sticker       $16.50 each
12x18 vinyl window sticker       $20.25 each
18x24 vinyl & aluminum            $44.17 each
                 (parking lot & property signs)

All prices include shipping costs and are available in English or Spanish. For more information on the signs or pricing please contact Brooke Dieterlen at 214-800-8771.

These signs are available for purchase to post
on your properties and in your parking lots.
