Now you are ready for international competition. The USA Junior Nationals would like to inform you of your selection to continue on as a member of the USA Junior Nationals basketball program to compete in the International Sports Festival at the University of Illinois, July 27 - August. 2."

Shelton Golf Is State Bound

Coach Adrain Hayes reports that the golf team is also state bound!  They came in fourth at the Regional Golf Tournament in Frisco. TAPPS takes the top four teams to state. The number one team had a score of 349; 2nd place, 365; 3rd, 365, and Shelton's score was 370; so the scores were very close. We also have a top ten low score on the team, freshman Kyle Gary. He scored 86 and made it on the All Regional Team. Senior Blake Kile was close with an 88. Rounding out our team were Alyn Jackson, Max Shaw and Preston Hill. Congratulations to Coach Hayes and our team, and good luck on April 20 - 21, when you play in Conroe for the 3-A State Championship.

Jeffrey Feldman Top Fundraiser for Third Year

Jeffrey Feldman was recognized by Children's Medical Center for being the top fundraiser of the annual Children Helping Children Junior Singles Tennis Tournament for three consecutive years. The proceeds all benefit pediatric cancer research and programs.

Jeffrey's contribution carries on a tradition begun by his older brother Jonathan some 13 years ago. This year the brothers reached their cumulative dream goal of $100,000. Jeffrey, who has lost two classmates to cancer, says "It's a good feeling knowing that we raised so much over the years. This tournament was not so much to win the match but instead to raise funds to further the treatment and research programs for children with cancer, sickle cell, blood disorders and other related diseases."
