Shelton Hosts 12th Annual Ethics Symposium
Shelton hosted its 12th Annual Ethics Symposium March 6. Over 100 sophomores and juniors from eight public and private schools attended the day-long invitational event. Activities included guided discussions, small group exercises and skits.

Shelton was the host site for Dallas Child’s Summer Camps event on March 7. The gym was transformed into a showplace for some 60 vendors promoting their summer activities. Numerous Shelton parents, students and staff were on hand for the day’s festivities.
For Middle School, this was the fourth year to have an annual Kindness Week, in which faculty and students place an extra emphasis on acts of kindness.
Eric Cole, a two-time national champion for the Angelo State University Rams, came out to help Shelton's varsity shot and discus throwers. Eric coached each thrower on technique.
Track season begins early in the spring semester which can mean freezing cold temperatures or windy warm hours of outdoor fun. Shelton's Varsity Track team huddled together to keep warm at their first meet of the season.
Spoon River Anthology to Be Performed at ISAS Fine Arts Festival
Shelton’s Upper School Theatre Department will present Spoon River Anthology at the Independent Schools Association Southwest (ISAS) Fine Arts Festival April 2-4 in Houston. The cast and crew performed the play on Shelton’s campus March 11 - 13.

Sophomores made a field trip March 9 to view the King Tut Exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art. They enjoyed lunch in the West End and then spent the afternoon visiting the Dallas World Aquarium (DWA).
Shelton seniors are engaged in many traditions that mark their final year at Shelton. From now to graduation, seniors and their parents are buzzing with fun activities that celebrate life at Shelton.
Upper School American Sign Language II students worked diligently to present The Lion King as a fun learning experience for Lower and Upper Elementary students. The ASL students taught some sign language before the show began and answered questions afterward.
This person graduated in 2003 and earned his associate’s degree in culinary arts and science from Johnson and Wales University in May 2007. He is a chef at his family’s restaurant.
