Shelton Parents & Friends:
What an incredible year! We send a big thank you to our End of Year Luncheon Chairs, Sara Agritelly, Rhonda Kehlbeck and Ruth Mitchell. The luncheon was great fun!
It is hard to believe that our year is winding down. It has been a very fun year with lots of opportunities for parents to be involved. There were so many parents who contributed to this year being a success that it is impossible to name them all. And we send a special thank you to all the Shelton staff who have supported and contributed to the SPA throughout the year.
We wish everyone a wonderful summer!
As always, there are many opportunities for parents to get involved! We encourage you to start thinking about volunteering for the 2009-2010 school year. Please contact Rhonda Kehlbeck at volunteers@SHELTONPARENTS.NET, or one of us for a list of volunteer opportunities!
All the best,
Barbara Novotny and Diane Byrd email us

Get to Know . . . Coach Adrain Hayes
Coach Adrain Hayes wears many hats, especially in the Shelton community. He is the Head Golf Coach, Assistant Head Football Coach, Defensive Coordinator, off-season Strengthening and Conditioning Coordinator, and the Middle School Physical Education Teacher. After meeting Chuck Locke at a ski trip, Coach Hayes interviewed for a part-time coaching position at Shelton. He loved working with the Shelton students so much, he decided to apply for a full-time position where he could teach as well as coach.
The interaction with the students is the greatest part of Coach Hayes’ job. In his five years at Shelton, he has come across many kids, and while he is proud of all the things they have accomplished, he is always a little sad to see them graduate.
Coach Hayes loves Shelton sports, and tries to support the other coaches when he can. In his spare time, he likes to play golf, spend time with his son, and cook (his specialties are Cajun and Italian)! Coach Hayes is also a Deacon in his church. He is an avid Cowboys fan and even had the opportunity to coach the Dallas Desperados.
Coach Hayes says that Shelton is blessed with a wonderful group of parents, and he loves to see the parents be actively involved in their student’s lives.
