Copying Your Project Database

Maybe you want to do some massive import of data into your project database. Or maybe you have some cool new customizations that may need to be implemented. Or maybe you have developed a SQL script that will save you some time manipulating data. In any case, it is a good practice to have a copy of your live database for performing tests, protyping, and generally beating up if necessary. My preferred method is using the SQL Server Backup / Restore features. You will need to be an administrator on the SQL Server to perform the necessary steps.
