This
year, People Report™ will conduct it’s 3
rd national survey of unit
level workforce practices for the foodservice industry. This comprehensive
research study of leading chain and independent restaurateurs, addresses and
benchmarks best practices in training, retention, cost of turnover,
compensation, benefits, recruiting practices, workplace safety and other
important issues related to both unit level management and unit level hourly
employees. This publication provides key unit level metrics that are unavailable
from other sources.
The
2001 Survey of Unit Level Employment Practices included the work practices of
over 100 companies, representing over 650,000 employees and 45,000 managers,
and was utilized by the National Restaurant Association in a special section of
their Industry Forecast devoted to the work force. This year, we will again work with CHART and other industry
partners to create an updated picture of the issues that impact all operators
and human resource professionals.
The
survey will be available to download from the People Report™ website later this
spring, and will be launched nationally to non-People Report™ members at the
Women’s Foodservice Forum Conference in Dallas, Texas, at the end of
March. Hard copies of the survey will
be mailed on request.
As
always, this survey will be conducted and analyzed at no charge for People
Report™ members, and is included as part of your annual membership. If you have any suggestions or hot topic
requests that you would like to incorporate into the survey, please contact us
as soon as possible, either through the new Members Forum, or at
info@peoplereport.com. We thank you in advance for your
participation and contributions.
