The Scare and Haunted attractions industry in the UK is a fast growing market sector with an estimated 50 plus dedicated year-round attractions and major Halloween events. Partners Leisure Managing Director David Leon has experience of working with some of the biggest operators in the sector and has been involved in the development of a new trade body, the British Association of Scare and Haunted Attractions - www.BASHA.org.uk.
Says David Leon: “There is a lot of interest amongst the public for visiting scare attractions and particularly Halloween events. This is an exciting growth area in tourism and leisure and one we are likely to see expand as more and more attractions realise that scaring people is becoming big business.”
This will be our third year of working with Tulleys Farm near Crawley, the biggest Halloween event in the UK, which is expanding its scare attractions this year adding two new haunted houses and a nightclub called Frightclub to its offering www.tulleysfarm.com. We have also been working with our long term client York Maze, a very popular summer attraction, to develop their first Halloween event with children's activities during October half term, and four nights of Hallowscream attractions aimed at an older market.www.yorkmaze.co.uk.
