Washington, DC – Funding for transit projects in the stimulus package could accelerate the Central Florida Commuter Rail project, according to Congressman John L. Mica (FL-07), the Republican Leader of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and Congresswoman Corrine Brown (FL-03), the Chairwoman of the Railroads, Pipelines and Hazardous Materials Subcommittee.

On the Road Again . . . with the Capitol Connection!
Once again this year, a coalition of eight Central Florida Chambers have joined forces in a Regional Partnership to travel to Tallahassee, Florida on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 17 & 18. The Apopka Area, East Orlando, Hispanic Chamber, Orlando Regional, Oviedo/Winter Springs, Seminole County Regional, West Orange and Winter Park Chambers, with an expected contingency of approximately 130 travelers, will depart from the West Orange Chamber via Mears Transportation buses at 8:00 a.m. on the morning of March 17.
