Florida Chamber Requests Input on the Economy
Recently, Senate President Jeff Atwater (R- Palm Beach) created the Senate Select Committee on Florida's Economy. Committee Chair, Senator Don Gaetz (R- Ft. Dominguez and Weinberg to Co-chair Transportation Task Force
Now at a critical juncture in the region’s quest for commuter rail, the Central Florida Partnership has named two outstanding business and community leaders to co-chair the Central Florida Transportation Corridors Task Force. Carmen Dominguez, president of Homes by Carmen Dominguez, and Michael Weinberg, Marketing Director of RIDA Associates, LP, will guide the Task Force, following the departure of inaugural Task Force Chair, John H. Bultema, III, who has relocated with Fifth Third Bank to Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In April 2008, the Central Florida Partnership announced a bold marketing campaign in support of Central Florida Commuter Rail.  After extensive community outreach conducted by myregion.org for the Florida Department of Transportation, that train now has a name – SunRail – and a brand new logo that will be appearing on electronic billboards sponsored by the Central Florida Partnership, in partnership with Clear Channel Outdoor.
