Teen Summer Reading Program

Kickoff:
Toga Toga Toga!

Attention Greek Gods & Goddesses: You are invited to a Toga Party! Break out the bed sheets for this after hours party for teens ages 13-18. The challenge is before you: Who will win the contest of bravery, endurance, mind, body and best dressed? Come for an evening of fun and competition and see if you will be crowned Zeus or Athena. The ancient Greeks were known for their strong physical prowess during the Olympic Games. Can you push your body to the challenge during the library's wacky version of this famous event? Compete to win the ultimate honor of the gold medal!

Bravery:
Library Fear Factor

Wednesday, June 30, 3:00 

Are you brave enough for the challenge? The ancient Greeks were known for their bravery, but they couldn’t pass this test. Enter to compete in this hair raising competition inspired by events from some of your favorite scary novels. Hint: Read the "The Trials of Death" in the Cirque Du Freak series by Darren Shan, and consider this the Trials of Fear!

It's a battle of the mind! Play this wacky and zany trivia game and put your knowledge to the test to see if you don't know jack.

It's a Reading Marathon! Munch on books and snacks and compete to be the last one reading! Sink your teeth into a book and join us for food, fun, games and reading! Prizes will be awared to the one who can read the longest

There is no way out! What do you do? Have fun of course! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be locked in the library? Well, here’s your chance! Capture the flag, scavenger hunts, and a chocolate buffet are just a few of the many crazy events we have in store. INVITATION ONLY! How do you get invited? If you are between the ages 13-18, just attend one of the library's many teen programs this summer or enter the Teen Book Review Contest and you will receive an inviataion!
