Book Review Writing Tips: 1. Before you begin writing- Gather other book reviews to see how they are written. (remember to write in your own voice because plagarism is a serious offense) 2. Brainstorm- Make a list of all of the main ideas you want to talk about. 3. Snag the Reader- Open the review with a "zinger," or catchy phrase. 4. Describe the book with feeling- This is the part where you make your review exciting! Write about what you liked and disliked about the story. Give examples of the strengths and weaknesses of the book. 3. Closing- Give your overall review or rating of the book. 4. Review and Reread- Look at your review with new eyes. Put it aside for a couple of days and then come back to review and revise. 5. Have Fun!
