Get on Board @ Your Library
Grab a book, submit a creative entry to why the book is meaningful to you and enter to win a chance to meet legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk.
Ever wondered how Tony Hawk mastered all those tricks? Want a chance to ask him yourself? Then head over to the Orange County Library System to enter the Get on Board and Read @ Your Library contest, sponsored by the American Library Association and Hershey's Milk. Grab a book, create an entry to why the book is meaningful to you and submit to win a chance to meet Tony Hawk! Tony Hawk is only a book away!
To Enter:
1. Submit an essay that is no more than 2 typed pages double-spaced describing what the message of the book is and why the message is meaningful to you and/or the team.
2. Submit a "creative" entry that describes/represents the message of the book and why the message is meaningful to you. Creative entries can be a poem, painting, video-whatever format the entrant/s coose. All creative entries must be accompanied by a short, written interpretation of the piece, including why the particular format was choen, to demonstrate how the message of the book is represented. For example, entrant(s)interpretaion can address choice of color for a painting or collage. The written interpretation cannot exceed 250 words.
The entry must include a complete entry form, including the name(s), contact information and signature of your sponsoring librarian and guardian.
Submit entry and entry form by April 1, 2004
