NDCC Supports Proposition One
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8. Polls open from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
One final reminder--the NDCC Board of Directors has endorsed the "stronger mayor" charter proposal on tomorrow's election ballot. This is City of Dallas Proposition One, which will provide for the mayor to hire and fire the city manager and police and fire chiefs, increase the mayor's influence over the city's annual budget and increase the mayor's salary.
Election Day is tomorrow, November 8. The North Dallas Chamber encourages you to vote for Proposition One.

Senate's Subcommittee on Aviation to Discuss Wright Amendment
Thursday, Nov. 10, 9 a.m.
1988 North Dallas Chamber Chairman of the Board Sam Coats has been invited to testify before the hearing of the United States Senate's Subcommittee on Aviation, which will discuss repeal of the Wright Amendment, the federal legislation that restricts commercial air service from Dallas Love Field.
The hearing will be conducted on Thursday, Nov. 10, 9 a.m., in Washington.
Subcommittee Chairman Senator Conrad Burns of Montana invited Mr. Coats to appear before the subcommittee in his capacity as a member of our chamber's task force that researched the issue of Wright Amendment repeal. The chamber has recommended that the amendment be repealed, utilizing a 2 to 5 year period for implementation.

Telecommunications Conference

Telecommunications and the New Millenium: Texas Leads the Way
