For five consecutive years, UPS has been named among America’s Top Corporations for Women Business Enterprises by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). In 2003, UPS spent more than US$187 million with women- and minority-owned firms. UPS received the "Corporate Partner of the Year" Award from NAWBO D/FW in 2003. In addition, NAWBO D/FW awarded UPS several "Above & Beyond Awards" in the same year.

UPS will be the sole sponsor of “The Texas Marketplace”, a unique exhibit area showcasing all three Texas NAWBO chapters – Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, at the NAWBO National Conference in Dallas from June 3-5, 2004.

The Texas Marketplace will be housed in the UPS Pavilion in the NAWBO Exhibit area during the conference. In addition, UPS will provide a staffed UPS Customer Shipping Center at the conference. “UPS is proud to sponsor The Texas Marketplace at NAWBO’s National Conference this summer in Dallas,” said Patricia Horonzy, UPS Southwest Region Women’s Business Program Marketing Analyst. “The UPS Customer Shipping Center will offer conference attendees the convenience of shipping their purchases, collectibles and paperwork, acquired during their stay in Dallas, directly back to their homes or offices.”

UPS will also sponsor WBENC’s National Conference in New Orleans from June 22-24, 2004.

UPS’s Southwest Region Women’s Business Program is a unique program designed at developing strategic relationships and partnerships with local women business owners and corporate leaders by offering transportation solutions that will assist in their individual business growth, as well as being actively involved with numerous women’s organizations and associations that represent women-owned businesses in the local communities.
