Well, the countdown is on!  Only 3 months until the 2004 National Conference comes to Dallas and we are preparing ourselves for record crowds.  Everyone is getting so fired up about us being the Host City, that I am positive we will draw women business owners from all parts of the Country.  The Southwest Region is particularly encouraging their membership to attend – Women Business Owners from Tucson, Phoenix, and Albuquerque have already written me seeking information on the Conference.  And of course our sisters in Houston and San Antonio are talking things up so that we have a large Texas contingent to welcome guests to our Great State.  And this is where you all can help…
 
I want every member of our Chapter to seriously consider attending and exhibiting at the National Conference.  You will never have a better (less expensive) opportunity to participate.  Because the conference is local, you will not have travel or hotel costs.  And Marilyn Bushey, our Conference Liaison, is cooking up a scheme to get affordable Exhibit Booth opportunities for our members, so stay tuned for more information on that.
 
Now back to the point.  We started this year with a Mission.   That Mission was to “Pump up the Volume” and I assure you that we have done many things this year toward accomplishing that goal.  And we have a couple more chances to make some noise.
 
On March 8th, we will have our Corporate Partner Appreciation Luncheon and I encourage all of you to attend and let our Corporate Partners know how much we appreciate them and their support of NAWBO.  And put your money where your mouth is – do business with them.  Support those who support you and your beliefs.
 
And finally, I want to challenge all of you to attend and encourage others to attend the National Conference.  There are no excuses.  The Conference is being held June 3 –5 at the Wyndham Anatole.  This Chapter does a lot for you and it is time to stand together and make a good showing.  We will set records and it will feel great being a part of NAWBO history.  Please join us as we…
