Lena Flores, CitySprint 1.800.Deliver
Our member spotlight is on Lena Flores of CitySprint 1.800.Deliver.  Lena was introduced to NAWBO through Susan Morrissey, a long-time NAWBO Member and Director of Public Policy for NAWBO D/FW.

CitySprint provides same day delivery for all of North Texas, specializing in 1, 2 & 3-hour service.  They are able to accommodate packages from the size of an average envelope to a full truckload.  CitySprint has just introduced new services including Concierge and Errand services for busy professionals.

CitySprint targets businesses that have a need to get their end product to their clients quickly, whether documents or computer parts.  Targeted industries include companies needing parts or supplies delivered to the field or clients.  The company mission is “To create lasting client relationships, build empowering partnerships, develop strategic alliances and enhance our lives.”

Lena joined NAWBO in October 2003 for professional growth and to develop new business relationships.  She currently serves on the Corporate Partner Committee and is actively involved in a Mastermind group.  Lena’s Mastermind group introduced her to the book Your Business or Your Life, by David Shepherd. The author guides you through several steps to enhance your business and life.  Lena shared these concepts with her business partner. They are actively utilizing these steps and making progressive changes in their company as a result.  This is just one example of the impact NAWBO can have on your business growth and development.

Lena enjoys helping others achieve their goals and will have the opportunity to do this through her interaction with other NAWBO members.  On a personal note, Lena enjoys watching her seven-year-old son, Christian, grow into a ‘little man,’ and develop a sense of humor and unique personality.  She acknowledges the highest compliment she can receive is to be called a good parent.  Lena also enjoys reading, taking walks and having reflective quiet times.

Lena likes solving problems and creating and implementing new ideas. She loves the challenge of finding solutions to problems or creating different options for solving problems.  It’s likely that her role as a business owner gives her plenty of opportunity to use those skills!

Lena and the team at CitySprint actively support the March of Dimes, the National Kidney Foundation, the YMCA and the Salesmanship Club through free deliveries and sponsoring fund raising events.

Please join us in welcoming Lena Flores of CitySprint to the NAWBO D/FW Chapter!
