“Pump Up the Volume” Series to Improve Your Business
by VP of Programs Joan C. Voeller

The first program of our series to help you improve your business featured Julie Chance with Strategies-by-DESIGN. At the August luncheon, she taught us how to define your product, identify your ideal customer and differentiate yourselves from your competition. When defining your product, it's important to know whether you are selling what your customers are buying. Niche marketing is a key to success for small to medium sized businesses.

The second in our series was how to market creatively to your ideal customer in a program called “Beyond "the Box": Cultivating Creativity" presented by Lora Brandis, Client Relations Director with Rainmaker Advertising and her assistant Laurie Moore. We learned at the September luncheon about the "dos and don'ts" of on-demand creative thinking. In this energized, interactive session, we got to throw the box away and get some really creative work done!

The third is a special evening event being held at the Las Colinas Country Club on October 22. Mary Schnack, president of Mary Schnack Media Services, Inc. will be in town to teach you how to use PR to grow your business. The fourth in our series held at our November meeting will be "Selling Strategically: How to be your own best Salesperson” presented by Tom Niesen, President of Acuity Training. The fifth in our series held at Decembers meeting will be "Growing Strategically: Growing Smart" presented by Julie Garella, Co-Founder of McColl Garella located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

As you can see, these are really fundamental and exciting programs for "Pumping up the Volume" on your business. Don't miss out. Oh, and bring a friend. They will thank you for it!
