President’s Message
By NAWBO D/FW President Wendy Lopez

What an action packed line up we have this fall.  Traditionally, our fall highlight has been the WBC/NAWBO D/FW Golf Tournament which is held in October, but we have so many exciting programs coming up, that I want to make sure you get them all on your calendar.  And no excuses for not attending: we have lunch programs, evening programs, and day-long events.  Certainly, you will be able to join us at one of these meetings.  Your president (me) and your board would like to meet you!

Anyway, here’s the line-up:

Tuesday evening, October 21st, “The Power of PR in Growing Your Business” program given by ex-SW Region Director, Mary Schnack from Sedona, Arizona   This event will be held in Irving and is targeted as an opportunity for our Dallas and Fort Worth members to mingle.  We will also have a special visitor that night, National President Elect Beverly Inman-Ebel.  Pretty exciting, huh?

Then on Monday, October 27th, we have the 8th Annual NAWBO D/FW – WBCS Golf Tournament and Tee Party at Brookhaven Country Club.  Lots of fun for all!

Join us on November 10thfor our regularly scheduled luncheon to hear Tom Niesen, president of Acuity Training Systems, Inc., present “Strategic Selling”. Learn  “How to be your best sales person” by this Dallas-based firm that provides sales training.
I am a firm believer, that you get out of an organization, that which you are willing to invest.  So we have organized these programs to make it easy for you to participate.  I also believe that your participation will make our chapter stronger.  So please, if you haven’t been engaged lately, try us out again.  I have mentioned in previous newsletters that our membership is almost 170 strong, yet attendance at our monthly meetings is typically 60.  However, I also know that we have certain members who attend Mastermind meetings exclusively.  And while Mastermind is a huge benefit, it by no means stops there. The program line-up is educational, informative and fun!  Hope to see you soon. Please join us as we…

Pump up the Volume!
