Ellen Bradley founded The Bradley Group, Inc. in the late 70s to provide quality service and strategic direction to the company’s client organizations. The Bradley Group is a management company specializing in service to nonprofit organizations in both full-service headquarters management and management consulting. It serves professional, trade and philanthropic organizations that range from local to national in scope. A good client is a mission-driven organization with a volunteer board that wants to focus more on the mission and less on the details. The Bradley Group is the association management company that handles the administration responsibilities for the D/FW Chapter of NAWBO.
Ellen serves on the board of The Dallas Women’s Foundation and has been involved with them for at least nine years. This year she is serving her second term as vice president of development. This eighteen year-old foundation is one of the five largest philanthropic organizations in the country dedicated to women’s and girl’s issues. In September 2002, Ellen joined NAWBO to develop associations with her peers and to support the work that NAWBO does.
Graduating from SMU with a Masters of Business Administration degree, Ellen co-founded SMU’s Executive MBA Alumni Association. She loves to create processes and procedures, and to organize and work with excellent people. According to Ellen, “The very best thing about this work is the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, passionate about what they are doing.”
Ellen’s success is no doubt a result of her philosophies of working hard, playing hard, and doing what you say you are going to do, when you say you are going to do it. Her favorite quote is: Work as if you don’t need the money, love like you’ve never been hurt and dance like no one’s watching.
