Hello, I'm Trudy Bourgeois, president of The Bourgeois Company and chair of the Corporate Partner Committee for the 2002-2003 NAWBO year. 
 
It's hard to believe that another year has gone by.  As we begin the planning process for this year, let's pause and offer a word of thanks to the 2001-2002 Corporate Partner chair, Karen Fitzgerald.  Karen and her committee, which included Corporate Partners such as Bob Parry (Boeing-Corinth) and Roberta Mikula (Compass Bank), did an excellent job and set the stage for future success.  
 
Serving on Karen's committee was a great experience.  My enthusiasm must have been transparent to others, because I was asked to chair the committee this year, a leadership role I am honored to assume.  I promise to draw on my 18 years of corporate experience to add all the value that I can.
 
I want to share with you the Corporate Partner objectives that I have set for my term, and to ask for your involvement and support to achieve these objectives:
 
*Redefine the value proposition and relationship between NAWBO and our Corporate Partners
*Secure five new Corporate Partners.  Assuming your partnership with NAWBO has proven to be beneficial, 
  would you be willing to recommend us to other potential Corporate Partners with which you do business?
*Complete a user-friendly electronic data base
*Get as many Corporate Partners involved in committees throughout NAWBO as possible.  Our president, 
  Diane McCartney, has indicated that this is one of her top priorities!
*Establish standards of operational best practices to serve incoming committee chairs and committee members for
  years to come.
