NWBOC Procurement Fair
   NATIONAL WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS CORPORATION

Women business owners, corporations and government agencies from throughout the country are expected at “Contacts and Contracts,” an annual procurement fair that ranks among the largest in the nation. Sponsored by the National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC), the two-day event will occur June 20 and 21, 2002 at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City.

Contacts and Contracts is held in conjunction with the annual meeting and educational conference of NWBOC’s sister organization, the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), scheduled June 19 through 22 in Salt Lake City.

Corporations and government agencies seeking to identify and establish working relationships with women vendors can attend to help fulfill their procurement needs. Those scheduled to attend include United Parcel Service, National City Bank, AT&T, Digital Economic Technologies, First Union/Wachovia and others.

Women business owners, both those already certified as woman-owned enterprises and those new to certification, will find opportunities to secure procurement leads from public and private sector organizations and from other women-owned businesses.

Admittance to Contacts and Contracts is free for NAWBO conference attendees.  Exhibit fees range from $400 to $1,000 per booth. Corporations, government agencies and certified women-owned businesses are invited to exhibit.

NWBOC is a sister organization with the National Association of Women Business Owners and the Center for Women’s Business Research. NWBOC’s certification program offers an alternative to the costly, time-consuming and duplicative agency-by-agency and corporation-by-corporation certification process. Hundreds of corporations, government agencies and other organizations accept NWBOC certification, including National City Bank, United Parcel Service, First Union Bank, AT&T, Digital Economic Technologies, Delta Airlines, Wells Fargo Bank and many others.

For more information on the procurement fair, please contact Janet Harris-Lange, President of NWBOC at 800/675-5066 or info@nwboc.org.
