You could be losing business to your competitors, male and female, because you don’t play golf.

Men have used golf as a business tool for years.  Women have been slow to embrace the concept that being out of the office, and specifically on a golf course, is justifiable.  Here are a few reasons why you might want to take up golf.

After spending four and a half hours with someone playing 18 holes, you will know a lot more about that person and their character.  If they try to cheat or get angry often, you may decide this is NOT someone with whom you want to do business

Many companies hold meetings at wonderful resorts that include golf as a major activity.  If you don’t play, you miss out on the camaraderie, as well as the re-hashing of the round later at the cocktail party.

Golf is not difficult to learn and you don’t have to be great to be able to feel comfortable playing with others.  The handicapping system used in golf equalizes the scoring.

Throw aside your inhibitions and give golf a try!  Not only is it a great sport that you play in beautiful surroundings with wonderful (usually) people, but it could also benefit your bottom line.
